JOURNAL SKETCH: NORTHERN QI QUARD'S ATTIRE

Northen Qi (北齐) was a kingdom established by Xian Bei (a nomadic kingdom from the northern east Asia) during the 6th Centuries AD. The most famous legacy from the Nothern Qi period is the highly realistic tomb murals. I was inspired by the Lou Rui (娄睿) tomb mural, which depitcing a parade scene of the tomb's owner and his convoy. I am trying to look into the details of the guard's attire. To my impression, it really was the predecessor for the Sui and Tang Dynasty attire.
