DUKE OF ZHOU, ZHOU GONG (11TH CENTURY B.C.) 周公出征之想象图

This illustration depict Duke of Zhou (11th Century B.C) preparing for battle during the rebellion of the Three Guards. Zhou Gong was a member of the royal family of Zhou Dynasty, who help his brother King Wu to defeat the more powerful Shang Dynasty and consolidating the new kingdom. He is also a Chinese culture hero credited with writing the I Ching (易经) and the Book of Poetry( 诗经), establishing the Rites of Zhou(周礼), and creating the yayue(雅乐) of Chinese classical music.
